Become a WPA Level 1 Paddle Board Instructor
We offer a 2-day course or a 1-day accelerated paddle board instructor program. This is for experienced paddle boarders who want to become a WPA Level 1 paddle board instructor. You will learn how to safely teach paddle board beginners SUP Lessons. During the course you will be assessed on your paddle skills, equipment knowledge, safety skills, rescue skills, and local boat laws.
- Comprehensive understanding is required which is especially relevant when teaching and choosing proper equipment (boards, paddles, accessories, and fins)
- Learn how to teach a thorough and above all safe beginner lesson.
- Learn paddle technique, turns and the basics of race training
- Candidates must demonstrate teaching ability, skills and knowledge
- WPA (World Paddle Association) Level 1 Certified Course
- Become a Paddle Into Fitness Instructor listed in our directory
- Paddle Into Fitness Certification

Accelerated format:
The 2-dayWPA Level 1 Sup Instructor course can be taken in an accelerated format and will be held in one day only. It includes the same material as the 2 day course but at a faster and customized pace. The cost, qualifications, and application process remain unchanged.

Requirements:
- current First Aid, CPR and AED
- proficient swimmer and comfortable doing water sports
- at least 1 year SUP experience
- teaching experience
- Must be 18 or older
