A decade ago, most people hadn't even heard of such a thing as SUP (Stand-Up Paddle Boarding). Today, it's gaining traction as one of the quickest growing and most diverse sports available. The concept is simple, while standing on a larger than average surfboard you use a paddle to travel through the water. Requiring a strong sense of balance and proving to be a workout for your core while paddling, paddle boarding is used for leisure, exercise, and even sports competition. People can often be seen doing yoga on their board while floating on the water, or adventuring to various locations with their trusty canine pals aboard.
It may look like a challenge, but once you understand the basics of how to maintain your balance and how to properly paddle you get the hang of it very quickly. With its simplistic nature and a variety of board sizes and shapes, anybody of any age can get on the water no matter their own size or shape.
